Double-Sided Nail Files, 100/180 Grit, Packs of 3, 5 or 10 in 6 Shapes
A good file is the quiet workhorse of every manicure table. These double-sided nail files carry 100 grit on one face and 180 grit on the other, so a single tool takes you from shaping and shortening a nail to smoothing the edge, without reaching for a second file.
The sandpaper surface sits on a foam layer over a rigid board, which keeps the file firm enough to hold a line and gives it a little cushion under the hand. Choose a shape and a pack size.
What 100/180 means
Grit is a number for how coarse an abrasive is: the lower the number, the coarser the cut. The 100 side removes length and bulk quickly, which is handy for shaping natural nails, shortening press-ons and leveling acrylic or gel overlays. The 180 side is finer, so it softens the edge and smooths the surface the coarse side has just worked.
Shapes and what is in each pack
Every pack holds files of one shape, with 100/180 printed on the surface. The photos show each shape as it is sold.
- Gray Half-Moon: a curved gray file with a gentle arch. Packs of 3, 5 or 10. Its size is 17.5 cm long and 2.7 cm wide.
- Black Boomerang: a black file with a pronounced curve that follows the shape of the nail. Packs of 3, 5 or 10.
- Black Square: a wide black file with square ends, with a broad flat face for leveling. Packs of 5 or 10.
- Black Slim: a narrow black straight file with rounded ends for tighter spaces. Packs of 5 or 10.
- Gray Square and Gray Diamond: gray straight and pointed-shoulder files in packs of 3.
How to use
- Hold the file flat against the free edge and work in one direction rather than sawing back and forth.
- Start on the 100 side to set the length and shape.
- Turn to the 180 side to soften the edge and smooth the surface.
- Wipe away the dust before you apply gel, polish or press-on glue.
Good to know
- These files suit acrylic, poly and builder gel manicures as well as natural and press-on nails.
- Files are consumables. Replace one when the grit is clogged or worn smooth.
- Only the half-moon size is given in centimeters here.
- Keep a lint-free wipe or soft brush close by to clear the dust between steps.

Frequently asked questions
Which side is which grit?
Each file is double-sided with 100 grit on one face and 180 grit on the other. The marking 100/180 is printed on the surface.
Can I use them on acrylic and gel?
Yes. They suit acrylic, poly extension and builder gel manicures, as well as natural nails and press-ons.
Which shape should I choose?
Curved files such as the half-moon and boomerang follow the nail and suit shaping. Straight files give a flat, even face for leveling and for working the sides of a nail.
How many files do I need?
A pack of 5 covers a home kit with spares. If you do sets for friends or practice often, the pack of 10 gives the lowest cost per file.
Can I wash and reuse them?
We do not give washing instructions for these files, so think of them as consumables and replace them when they stop cutting cleanly.
