Filing, buffing and shaping throw fine dust over your nails, your hands and your desk. A big, soft dust brush sweeps it away in a few strokes before you apply base, builder or color, so nothing gets trapped under the product.

These brushes have a wide, fluffy head on a slim teardrop handle, and they come in packs of three, six or ten so you can keep one at every station or give each client their own.

Made for makeup, loved by nail artists

This style of brush was designed as a powder and blush brush for makeup, and nail artists use it as a dust brush because the wide, soft head moves a lot of dust gently. It is a brush, not a nail-brand product, and the photos may show makeup use. The brush is the same and works exactly as described here.

What is in each set

  • Bold Trio: three brushes in black and blush, cherry red and midnight.
  • Soft Trio: three brushes in soft pink, peach blush and pearl opal.
  • Studio Six: both trios together, six brushes.
  • Salon Ten: ten brushes: the six above plus chrome silver, woodgrain with cream bristles, copper with peach bristles and a teal rainbow gradient.

Who it is for

  • Beginners: one soft brush by the lamp is the easiest habit for cleaner prep.
  • Hobbyists: keep a pastel brush for light colors and a dark one for dust-heavy filing.
  • Nail artists: a set of ten lets you rotate brushes between clients and between stations.

How to use it

  1. After filing or buffing, hold the brush flat and sweep from the cuticle toward the tip.
  2. Brush the sides and the free edge, then the hand and the desk surface.
  3. Tap the head on a towel or a bin to shake the dust loose.
  4. Check the nail under good light and repeat before applying your base.

Good to know

Each brush has a long handle and a wide head. Bristle colors are as shown in the photos and may vary a little between screens. Keep the brushes dry and store them head up so the bristles keep their shape. Use a separate brush for each client.

Frequently asked questions

Is this made for nails?

This is a makeup-style powder brush that is widely used as a nail dust brush. It is not a nail-brand product.

How soft are the bristles?

They are soft, fluffy fibers on a wide round head, meant for sweeping dust rather than scrubbing.

Can I choose my own colors?

Sets are curated so the colors work together. The Salon Ten includes every color we offer.

How do I clean them?

Tap out the dust after each use and wash the head gently with mild soap now and then. Let it dry flat or head down.

Which set should I start with?

A trio covers a home desk. Choose the six or ten if you work with others or want a brush for each station.
