Product safety notices
Please read these notices and the instructions that come with your product before use. A product page or the manufacturer's instructions may add warnings specific to that product; follow those as well.
All products
- Read all instructions and warnings before use. Keep products out of reach of children. They are not toys.
- Stop using a product and wash the area if you feel pain, burning, itching, redness or swelling. See a doctor if symptoms continue.
- Do not use on broken, infected or damaged skin or nails. If you have a skin or nail condition, ask a professional first.
- Clean tools before and after use. Do not share tools between people unless they have been cleaned and sanitized.
- Small parts such as rhinestones and charms are a choking hazard. Keep them away from children and pets.
Gel polish and other curing products
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes and cuticles. Skin contact with uncured gel products can cause allergic reactions in some people.
- Use in a well-ventilated area and keep away from heat and open flame.
- Cure only with a compatible lamp and for the time given by the manufacturer. Do not apply thick layers.
- Check the ingredient list and warnings on the product or its packaging before use.
UV/LED lamps and curing lights
- Lamps emit ultraviolet and visible light. Do not look directly at the light and use the lamp only for its intended manicure purpose.
- Follow the maximum exposure time given by the manufacturer. If you are photosensitive, take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light, or have other concerns, ask a doctor before use.
- Use only the supplied power adapter. Check that the voltage and plug type match your outlet. Do not use a lamp with a damaged cord, plug or housing.
- Keep away from water and children, do not cover vents and do not leave a running lamp unattended.
Electric nail drills (e-files) and items with batteries
- Read the manual first and start at the lowest speed. Keep hair, clothing and jewelry away from rotating parts.
- Stop using the device immediately if it overheats, smells, sparks or swells.
- Charge only with the supplied charger, do not charge unattended, and do not use a damaged battery.
- Keep button or coin batteries away from children. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical help immediately.
Sharp tools
- Nippers, pushers, scissors and blades are sharp. Use with care and keep them out of reach of children.
- Sanitize before and after use and do not use on injured or infected skin.
