A good manicure starts with a good surface. These white sponge nail buffer blocks are the quick, forgiving way to smooth ridges, soften edges and take the shine off the nail before gel goes on. Each block has a sanded sponge surface on all four long sides, so you can turn it as one side wears.

They are light, washable and cheap enough to be used per client or per set, which is why they are sold in packs of 10, 20 and 40.

Why you will like them

  • Sponge core with a sanded surface: gentle enough to follow the curve of a nail and still firm enough to level small ridges.
  • Four usable sides per block, so one block lasts through several sets.
  • Light and pocket-sized at about 9.4 x 2.5 cm.
  • Washable, so a block can be rinsed between uses by the same person.
  • Works on fingernails and toenails.

What is in each pack

All blocks are the same white sponge block in the same size. File, remover and polish are not included.

  • Studio Pack: 20 white buffer blocks.
  • Salon Pack: 40 white buffer blocks, the lowest cost per block.
  • Starter Pack: 10 white buffer blocks.

How to use

  1. Start with clean, dry nails and push the cuticles back.
  2. Hold the block flat and buff the nail in light strokes, following its growth direction.
  3. Use a corner of the block along the free edge to soften the shape.
  4. Brush off the dust and wipe the nail before applying base coat or polish.

Good to know

  • Use a light hand. Buffing too hard or too often thins the nail.
  • If several people use the same set, keep one block per person and rinse it between uses.
  • Grit is not stated for these blocks, so think of them as a general-purpose buffer.

Frequently asked questions

Are these a file or a buffer?

They are buffer blocks. The sponge body carries a sanded surface that smooths and shapes, but they are not a replacement for a coarse file on thick enhancements.

Can I wash them?

Yes. The blocks are described as washable. Rinse, squeeze and let them dry fully before reuse.

Do they work for toenails?

Yes. They are suitable for fingernails and toenails.

Why white only?

White is the only color in these packs, which keeps every block identical and easy to tell when it needs replacing.

How many sets does a pack cover?

One block has four working sides, so a pack of ten covers many sets at home. Studios usually go through them faster.
