Nail Sanding Bands, 200 per Tub, 80 to 240 Grit Sets and Singles
Sanding bands are the consumable that does the everyday work on an e-file: slip a band onto a mandrel, spin it up and shape, smooth or take down product, then replace the band when it wears. Buying them 200 to a tub means you stop rationing them, which is how you get consistent results on every nail.
Each tub holds 200 bands of one grit and comes with 2 silver mandrels, so you can start immediately and keep a spare. Choose a single grit, or build your range with a duo, a trio or all four grits.
What is in each set
The e-file, bits and dust control are not included.
- Every tub: 200 sanding bands of one grit and 2 mandrels.
- Shaping Duo: two tubs, 120 grit and 240 grit.
- Everyday Trio: three tubs, 120, 180 and 240 grit.
- Complete Range: four tubs, 80, 120, 180 and 240 grit.
- Single tubs: 80, 120, 180 or 240 grit.
Size and fit
Each band is about 13 mm (0.51 in) long with an inner diameter of 6 mm and an outer diameter of roughly 8 mm (0.31 in). The mandrels have a 3/32 in shank and are about 3.9 cm (1.53 in) long. The bands are made for nail drills and other drills that take sanding bands. Check that your handpiece takes a 3/32 in shank before you order.
Choosing a grit
Grit is the number of abrasive particles; the lower the number, the coarser the band.
- 80 grit: the coarsest, used for fast removal and rough shaping of artificial enhancements.
- 120 grit: a medium all-rounder for shaping and general work.
- 180 grit: finer, for blending and smoothing a surface.
- 240 grit: the finest, for a smooth finish before polish or top coat.
How to use them
- Push a band onto the mandrel until it sits flat at the end.
- Fit the mandrel in your e-file handpiece and set a low speed to begin.
- Move the band lightly across the surface and keep it moving.
- Replace the band when it loses its bite and switch to a finer grit to finish.
Good to know
The 80, 120 and 180 grit bands are brown and the 240 grit bands are black, so you can tell grits apart at a glance. Always follow the instructions of your e-file and wear eye protection when using any drill bit.
