How to apply gel tips

1. Prepare the natural nails: push back the cuticles, lightly buff the shine away and wipe with a nail cleanser.
2. Pick the tip that fits side wall to side wall without lifting; choose a slightly smaller size if you are between two.
3. Apply a thin layer of gel or tip adhesive to the tip, place it near the cuticle line and press it down while pushing out any air.
4. Hold the tip in place and cure it in your lamp following the instructions of your gel.
5. File to the length and shape you want, then finish with your colour and top coat.

Good to know

Always follow the instructions of the gel or adhesive you apply the tips with, including curing times and removal. Work on clean, dry nails and stop if you notice any irritation.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a lamp to use these tips?

If you attach them with gel, yes: the gel needs to be cured in a UV or LED nail lamp that suits your product. A lamp is not included with the tips.

Are several shapes in one box?

No. Each box holds one shape and length in 12 sizes. Choose the option you want, or order a second box for another shape.

Can I file and shorten the tips?

Yes. Once applied they can be filed to the length and shape you prefer. Use a fine file and avoid heating the nail with too much pressure.

Are these tips suitable for beginners?
