Stamping polish is made for one job: to fill the engraving of a stamping plate and print a crisp design on your nail. It is thicker and more pigmented than ordinary polish, so a single pass over the plate gives a solid line rather than a see-through one.

This range comes in 10 ml bottles (0.34 fl oz) and in sets that make sense on a nail desk: a core quartet of black, white, silver and gold, a quartet of brights, a quartet of berries and blues, and the full twelve.

What is in each set

Stamping plates, a stamper and scraper, base color and top coat are not included.

  • Essentials Quartet: black, white, silver and gold, four bottles. Black on a light base, white on a dark base, and two metallics for accents.
  • Brights Quartet: red, orange, yellow and green, four bottles.
  • Berry and Blue Quartet: blue, purple, magenta and pink, four bottles.
  • Studio Twelve: all twelve colors above in one set.
  • Single bottles of black or white, for when you only need to restock your most-used color.

Why a stamping polish

Regular polish tends to run into the engraving and pull away from the plate before you pick it up. A stamping polish is built to sit in the lines and transfer in one touch. The polish air-dries and does not need a lamp to dry, which keeps the process fast: you have only a few seconds to scrape, pick up and print.

How to stamp with it

  1. Apply base color to your nails and let it dry fully.
  2. Brush stamping polish onto the pattern you want on the plate.
  3. Scrape the plate in one quick pass with a scraper card.
  4. Press a stamper onto the pattern to lift it.
  5. Roll the stamper onto the nail to transfer the design.
  6. Finish with top coat to protect the print.

Good to know

Work one nail at a time, because the polish dries quickly on the plate. Wipe the plate and scraper clean after each use. Colors on screen can differ a little from the bottle, and each stamped design in the photos was printed on a white or black base to show the color at its clearest.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a lamp?

No lamp is needed to dry the polish itself. If your base color is gel, cure it as you normally would before you stamp.

Do I need a base and top coat?

Yes. Stamp over a dry base color and seal the finished design with top coat so the print lasts.

Which set is best to start?

The Essentials Quartet: black covers light bases, white covers dark bases, and silver and gold give you metallic accents.

Will it work on any plate?

Stamping polish is made for engraved metal plates. You will also need a stamper and a scraper.

How many bottles are in a set?

Each quartet holds four 10 ml bottles, Studio Twelve holds twelve, and single bottles are one 10 ml bottle.
