Cat-eye gel polish holds fine magnetic particles in a clear tinted gel. Hold a magnet over the wet color and a bright, silky line of light appears across the nail, like the slit of a cat eye, then cure it to lock the pattern. These sets bring together two looks: a Glass family of see-through tints with a crisp band of light, and an Aurora Glow family with a soft green shimmer that blooms in the center of the nail.

Each bottle holds 10 ml of soak-off gel that cures under a UV or LED lamp. The photos show every shade on a nail swatch pair, so you can see the color and the light line before you choose.

Who it is for

  • Hobbyists: cat-eye is a satisfying technique, and a matched trio gives you three looks to practice on.
  • Nail artists: the glass shades are sheer enough to layer over nudes, French tips or chrome, and clients love the depth.
  • Gift buyers: the five-bottle set is a ready-made collection for anyone who already owns a magnet.

What is in each set

  • Glass Trio: three 10 ml bottles in pink, lilac and champagne.
  • Aurora Glow Trio: three 10 ml bottles in blush pink, lilac and green.
  • Glass Five: five 10 ml bottles in pink, lilac, champagne, ruby red and mauve.

A cat-eye magnet is needed to create the effect and is not included. Base coat, top coat and lamp are not included either.

How to use it

  1. Prep the nail and cure a thin layer of base gel.
  2. Shake the bottle fully so the magnetic particles are evenly spread.
  3. Brush on a thin first layer and hold the magnet over it for a few seconds to pull the line into place, then cure under a UV or LED lamp.
  4. Apply a second layer, use the magnet again to set the line where you want it, and cure for 60 seconds.
  5. Seal with a super-shine top coat and cure. Remove with acetone like any soak-off gel.

Good to know

The line of light follows the magnet, so the angle and the distance of the magnet change the shape: hold it close for a sharp line, farther away for a soft glow. Packaging for these bottles can differ between batches; the color inside is the same. Colors can look different on screen than in the bottle.

Frequently asked questions

Is a magnet included?

No. You need a cat-eye magnet wand or magnet board to create the effect. Any cat-eye magnet works.

What is the difference between the Glass and Aurora Glow shades?

The Glass shades are see-through tints with a clean band of light. The Aurora Glow shades have a soft green shimmer that gathers in the center of the nail.

Do I need a dark base?

No. These are made to be worn over a base coat, and they show up well on a natural nail. A dark base makes the line of light look stronger.

How long does it last?

With careful prep, a base and a top coat, wear time is rated at around four weeks.

How do I remove it?

Soak a cotton pad in acetone, wrap each nail for 5 to 10 minutes, then gently slide the softened gel off.
